Bills vs. Chiefs Pick
In a matchup only a bettor could love, the Kansas City Chiefs will host the Buffalo Bills at 1:00PM ET on Sunday.
The Bills lost to the Jets 19-13 as a 3-point underdog in Week 13, while the combined score went under the posted total of 37 points. Running back Marshawn Lynch run for 60 yards and a touchdown in the loss.
The Chiefs lost to the Broncos 44-13 as a 6-point underdog in Week 13, as the combined score went over the posted total of 39 points. Matt Cassel threw for only 84 yards with two interceptions, while running back Jamaal Charles was held to 56 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Bills 1-point favorites over the Chiefs in Week 14. The over/under total for Sunday’s game has been set at 37.5 points.
Buffalo owns the most recent history between these two teams, covering the spread four out of the last five times. Kansas City is just 5-14 against the spread in its last 19 games, while the Bills are 7-2 in their last nine games on the road.
The general consensus is that when you have two bad teams that play each other, the home team is the way to go. But the Bills have showed more life under interim coach Perry Fewell, last week being the only exception. Ryan Fitzpatrick struggled last week, but that was against a tough Jets’ secondary. He’ll have more success this week against a brutal Kansas City pass defense, one that is allowing 250.8 yards per game this season.
Our free pick prediction for this game is the Bills –1. Buffalo has been solid against the pass this season and while limit what Cassel can do through the air. The Chiefs are a mess right now and Buffalo is playing well on the road – take the Bills.
Also, with both of these teams expected to struggle offensively, take the under 37.5 if you’re looking for a total play in this matchup.
