Week 12 Betting Recap
As usual, there were plenty of upsets in the NFL this past week, as well as a couple of favorites that cruised. Here’s a betting recap of Week 12 in the NFL.
Broncos dominate as home dogs
On Thanksgiving night, the Denver Broncos dominated the New York Giants from the opening kickoff while earning a 26-6 victory. Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com made the Giants 4.5-point favorites by kickoff, but they never stood a chance. The combined score also went under the posted total of 43.5 points.
Bills crush Dolphins as home dogs
Another home dog that covered on Sunday was the Buffalo Bills, who beat their division rivals the Miami Dolphins, 31-14. The Bills were 3.5-point home underdogs that covered outright, while the combined score went over the posted total of 38.
Colts rally to win, cover
At first, it appeared that backers of the Houston Texans were going to roll to an easy victory after they took a 17-0 lead on the Indianapolis Colts in the first half. But Peyton Manning and the Colts roared back and not only beat the Texans 35-27, but also covered as 3.5-point road favorites. The over/under total for this game was 48, so the combined 62 points sailed over.
Saints crush Patriots on Monday night
The New Orleans Saints put on a clinic on Monday night, crushing the New England patriots, 38-17. The Saints were 1.5-point favorites coming into the game and outside of an early 7-0 deficit, the game was never in doubt for New Orleans. Thanks to a late missed field goal by the Saints, the combined score went under the posted total of 57 points.
