Week 1 Preseason Odds
The first week of the NFL preseason is just around the corner and oddsmakers have released the odds for all of the Week 1 matchups.
The 2009 NFL preseason kicks off with the Hall of Fame Game from Canton, Ohio on Sunday, August 9 where Terrell Owens and the Buffalo Bills take on Chris Johnson and the Tennessee Titans. The Titans have opened as a 3-point favorite according to oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com. The over/under total for this game has been set at 31.
On August 13, the defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers will host the Arizona Cardinals, the same team they defeated in February to claim their championship. The Steelers are currently 3-point favorites. That same night, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots will travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles. The Eagles are 3.5-point favorites.
Fans in New York will get their first opportunity to see rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez in action on August 14, as the Jets (who are 3-point favorites) host the St. Louis Rams. Carson Palmer and the Bengals will also travel to the “Big Easy” that night to take on Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints (-3.5).
