Broncos vs. Browns Prediction
Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns have looked like a different team since the dismissal of head coach Hue Jackson and offensive coordinator Todd Haley. Will they continue their strong play when they visit the Denver Broncos Saturday night at 8:20 p.m. ET?
Game Snapshot
305 Cleveland Browns at 306 Denver Broncos
8:20 p.m. ET, Saturday, December 15, 2018
Broncos Stadium at Mile High, Denver, CO
Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Broncos are 2.5-point favorites to beat the Browns. The total, meanwhile, sits at 46.5 points. As of this writing, 54% of the public betting tickets are on the Broncos to cover the point spread.
Cleveland Browns
Browns CB Denzel Ward (concussion) is out for Week 15 against the Broncos. Ward was hoping to return this week but he’s yet to clear the concussion protocol. This will be his second straight absence. Ward sitting is good news for Courtland Sutton.
Denver Broncos
Courtland Sutton (thigh) wasn’t listed on the Broncos’ final injury report for Week 15 against the Browns. He was upgraded to full participation at Thursday’s practice, prompting the Broncos to remove him from the injury report altogether. Sutton will have a chance to do damage Saturday night against the Browns, who are missing top corner Denzel Ward (concussion). He’s our No. 29 receiver for Week 15.
NFL Betting Trends
Cleveland
The Browns are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games against the Broncos.
Denver
The Broncos are 9-3 against the spread in their last 12 games played on Saturday.
Prediction
The Broncos had their slim playoff hopes crushed a week ago in Santa Clara when the 49ers moved the ball at will in a small upset. Even though it’s tough to win in Denver, I don’t think we’ll see the Broncos best effort tonight. Emotionally I don’t see them getting up for this one after having their season crushed a week ago. Mayfield has played well since Jackson and Haley were fired and while I’ll take the points, I also wouldn’t be surprised in the least if the Browns pulled off the small upset.
NFL Week 15 Prediction: Cleveland Browns +2.5
