Falcons vs. Rams Prediction
Will the Rams cover as a home dog today when they host the banged-up Falcons at 4:25PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Rams are 5.5-point home underdogs versus the Falcons while the over/under currently sits at 44.5 points. L.A. was briefly a 6-point dog but the line has fallen back to 5.5 at the majority of online and Vegas sports books, while the total has gone from 46 down to 44.5.
FALCONS KEY TRENDS: Atlanta is 6-1 against the spread in its last seven road games, are 4-1 against the number in its last five games versus a team with a losing record and has covered in five of its last seven games versus NFC opponents. That said, the Falcons have been a horrible bet coming off a loss, going 3-8 against the number in their last 11 games following defeat.
RAMS KEY TRENDS: The Rams are just 1-6-1 at the betting window in their last eight games overall, are 0-3-1 against the number in their last four home games, and are 0-3-1 against the spread in their last four games versus NFC opponents. They’ve also failed to cover in six of their last eight games when playing a team with a winning record and are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games coming off a loss.

OUR PREDICTION: The Rams are a dysfunctional mess right now but this is still too many points to lay on an injury-depleted Falcons team. Julio Jones is likely to miss today with a turf toe injury, Mohamed Sanu will definitely miss today’s game because of a groin injury, and left tackle Jake Matthews may play on a bum knee. The Rams will keep this game close because of their defense and the Falcons usually don’t blow opponents out, even in wins, so take the points with the home dog.
