Drew Brees had his streak of 54-straight games with a touchdown pass come to an end in the loss to Atlanta. He still threw for 341 yards on 28 of 50 passing, but he had five interceptions. As an offense, New Orleans had 436 total yards and the defense held the Falcons to 283 yards, but the five turnovers were too much for New Orleans to overcome. The Saints are currently the worst rushing defense in the league, allowing 153.8 yards per game on the ground.
NEW YORK: The Giants are coming off a 17-16 loss to the Redskins last Monday night. The Giants have now lost three of their last four games to see their lead in the NFC East shrink to just one game over the Redskins and Cowboys. New York was able to amass 390 yards of offense in the loss, and didn’t have a single turnover, but the yardage didn’t translate into points. Eli Manning threw for 280 yards on 20 of 33 passing with one touchdown. Ahmad Bradshaw also had a solid game, rushing for 103 yards on 24 carries. Defensively, the Giants allowed the Redskins to rush for 207 yards on them.
ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Giants are 4.5-point favorites at home against the Saints, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 53 points.
