The Chiefs are coming off a surprising 19-17 loss at home to Tampa Bay, which snapped a 5-game win streak. KC is now 7-3 on the season and just 4-6 against the spread. They are 8-2 with the under, having hit it in six straight games. The reason for the unders is a defense that is allowing just 18.7 points per game this season, which ranks fifth in the NFL. The unit is led by Dee Ford, who has 32 tackles with 10 sacks on the year. Offensively, KC is putting up just 22.2 points and 346.6 yards per game. They have struggled to establish much of a run game this year, averaging only 97.9 yards per game on the ground. Alex Smith has thrown for 2,077 yards and nine touchdowns with four interceptions, but he is to be without top receiver Jeremy Maclin once again. Maclin will sit out another game with a groin injury.
