Redskins vs. Cowboys Prediction
Will the Cowboys cover for the 10th consecutive time today when they host the Redskins at 4:30PM ET on Thanksgiving Day?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Cowboys are 6.5-point home favorites versus the Redskins while the over/under currently sits at 51.5 points. While the point spread has bounced back and forth between 6.5 and 7, the total opened at 48.5 and has been bet up a full three points.
REDSKINS KEY TRENDS: The Redskins are 7-1 against the spread in their last eight games overall and are 6-1 against the number in their last seven road games. They're also 4-0 at the betting window in their last four games versus a team with a winning record and are 5-1 against the number in their last six games after accumulating more than 250 yards passing in their previous contest.
COWBOYS KEY TRENDS: The Cowboys are a perfect 9-0 against the spread in their last nine games and are 4-0 at the betting window in their last four home games. They're also 5-0 against the spread in their last five games versus NFC opponents and are 4-0 ATS in their last four games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.
OUR PREDICTION: The Cowboys have struggled on Thanksgiving over the past two seasons but the Redskins are about to deal with a different animal. Last week the Cowboys were held somewhat in check on the ground by the Ravens, who own the No. 1 run defense in the league. But in the fourth quarter when Baltimore's defense started to tire out, Dallas was able to sustain long drives to pull away. Today against the Redskins, the Cowboys can run right down Washington's throats and keep Kirk Cousins on the sidelines. (This is also a tough spot for the Redskins, who played on Sunday night at home and now have to travel to Dallas on a short week.) Look for Ezekiel Elliott to have another big game on the ground and for the Cowboys to win by a touchdown-plus.
NFL WEEK 12 PREDICTION: DALLAS COWBOYS -6.5
