Saints vs. Eagles Spread Prediction
The New Orleans Saints have won eight straight games and covered the spread in seven of their first nine contests. But are they overvalued Sunday as a large home favorite over the visiting Philadelphia Eagles at 4:25 p.m. ET?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Saints are 7.5-point favorites to beat the Eagles. The total, meanwhile, sits at 56 points. As of this writing, 56% of the public betting tickets are on the Saints to cover the point spread.
Philadelphia Eagles
Eagles RT Lane Johnson (knee) is questionable for Week 11 against the Saints. Johnson was close to playing against the Cowboys Sunday night but was ruled out late. There’s a terrific chance he suits up against New Orleans given his trending progress. He’ll certainly help Carson Wentz stay untouched as the Eagles attempt to match the Saints point-for-point without CBs Ronald Darby (knee) and Jalen Mills (foot).
New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Times-Picayune doesn’t expect Brandon Marshall to play in Week 11 against the Eagles. Marshall has only been with the Saints five days. He’s healthy but may not be in game shape after sitting the last three weeks. Marshall should be a scratch Sunday before making his Saints debut in Week 12.
NFL Betting Trends
Philadelphia
The Eagles are 2-6 against the spread in their last eight games overall and are 1-4 ATS in their last five games versus NFC opponents.
New Orleans
The Saints are 7-0 against the spread in their last seven games overall and are 21-7 ATS in their last 28 games coming off a win.
Prediction
I suppose there’s plenty of value in backing the defending Super Bowl champs catching 7.5 points in what could be their last opportunity to turn their season around. The problem is that the Eagles just aren’t as good as they were a year ago, mostly because of injuries. Their secondary has been decimated, which is a huge problem when facing an explosive Saints passing attack that just hung 50-plus points on the board a week ago on the road. Bet against the Saints at your own risk.
