Underdogs cash big in Week 10 of NFL
While there’s still one game left to be played, Week 10 in the NFL was all about the underdogs and unders at the betting window.
Of the 13 games that are in the books for Week 10, 11 underdogs covered the spread and seven unders cashed. Incredibly, 10 of those 11 underdogs won outright, with the Giants nearly upsetting the Patriots as a 7-point dog in East Rutherford on Sunday afternoon.
The Lions were the biggest dog to win outright while holding onto an 18-16 win over the Packers at Lambeau Field as a 10.5-point road underdog. The Bucs (+1 vs. Cowboys), Redskins (+1 vs. Saints), Bears (+7.5 at Rams), Dolphins (+5.5 at Eagles), Vikings (+3 at Raiders), Jaguars (+5 at Ravens), Chiefs (+4 at Broncos), Cardinals (+3 at Seahawks) and Bills (+2.5 at Jets) all covered as road dogs this week. (Buffalo beat New York 22-17 on Thursday night.)
There were also two totals that pushed that appeared to be heading for unders, including the Chiefs’ 29-13 win over the Broncos (Denver scored late to push the total of 42), and the Vikings’ 30-14 win over the Raiders (Minnesota scored 10 points in the final 10 minutes to push the total of 44 after neither team scored in the third quarter). Even the Patriots’ 27-26 win over the Giants looked like it was going to fall under the total but the two teams scored late to push the combined score over 52.5.
Tonight the Bengals are 10.5-point home favorites over the Texans while the over/under is sitting at 47 according to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI.
