Seattle Seahawks Fantasy Spin
Russell Wilson completed 29-of-43 passes for 378 yards and five touchdowns while spanning 21 yards on his lone rushing attempt Sunday in the Seahawks’ Week 9 victory over Tampa Bay. He also lost 31 yards on three sacks. You could tell from the jump it was going to be a huge afternoon for Russ, who completed all five of his throws for 73 yards and a touchdown on a surgical opening drive. Wilson's final line included just one rushing attempt (his 21-yard, fourth-quarter scramble happened to be his longest run of the season), but he was always moving, continually putting defenders on skates with his unmatched mobility and keen eye for improvising. Wilson eventually put the Bucs out of their misery in overtime by threading the needle to Jacob Hollister on a 10-yard, walk-off touchdown. Tyler Lockett was an absolute savage on Sunday (13-152-2) and prized rookie DK Metcalf (6-123-1) was just as dominant. Simply put, the Seahawks' offense is firing on all cylinders right now. We'll see if the undefeated Niners have any luck containing them in Week 10.
San Francisco 49ers Fantasy Spin
49ers LT Joe Staley (leg) plans to play Week 10 against the Seahawks. Staley has missed six games with a fractured fibula, but he is back on the practice field with the intention of suiting up for Monday Night Football. The 49ers are already one of the best teams in the NFL, so Staley's return is a rich getting richer situation.
NFL Betting Trends
The Seahawks are 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 road games and are 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 games played on Monday Night Football.
The 49ers are just 5-12 against the number in their last 17 conference matchups and are 2-6 against the spread in their last eight divisional games.
The Seahawks are 11-3-1 against the spread in their last 15 meetings with the 49ers and are 5-2 against the number in their last seven trips to Santa Clara. While those ATS wins were racked up when Seattle had a better team than San Francisco, a touchdown is still too many points to hand Wilson in a divisional primetime matchup. The 49ers have an outstanding defense, but they also allowed Kyler Murray and the Cardinals to sneak back into that game last Thursday night in Arizona. The 49ers will also be stud tight end George Kittle, so this is a prime spot to back the Seahawks.
