DALLAS: The Cowboys lost their third game in four weeks last Sunday when the Giants beat them 29-24 in Dallas. Tony Romo completed 36-of-62 passes for 437 yards with one touchdown, but his four interceptions killed the Cowboys in the end. (Although if Dez Bryant’s pinkie came down in bounds on a last-second throw then the Cowboys would have won.) Jason Witten meanwhile, set a franchise record with 18 catches for 167 yards and John Phillips scored a touchdown after racking up three catches and 14 yards. The loss dropped Dallas to 3-4 overall and 3-4 against the spread.
ATLANTA: The Falcons were highly impressive in their 30-17 win over the Eagles last Sunday. Matt Ryan completed 22-of-29 passes for 262 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions, while Jacquizz Rodgers rushed eight times for 60 yards. Julio Jones, meanwhile, racked up 123 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Roddy White caught three passes for 38 yards and Jason Snelling caught three passes for 16 yards and a touchdown. With the win the Falcons ran their record to a perfect 7-0 on the season and they’re now 5-2 against the spread. They’ve covered the spread in two of their last three games including last week when they were a 3-point road underdog. Atlanta is now 2-0 as a dog this season.
ODDS: According to oddsmamkers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Falcons are 4-point favorites over the Cowboys while the over/under total is currently sitting at 47.5 points. Dallas is 3-4 overall and 2-2 on the road, while Atlanta is 7-0 overall and 3-0 at home.
