NFL Week 9 Opening Odds
Can you believe it’s already Week 9 in the NFL? Here’s a breakdown of this week’s matchups and point spreads now that the odds are out.
Game of the Week
As of this writing the Panthers have not played the Colts on Monday Night Football but regardless, the game of the week will be on Sunday when Carolina hosts Green Bay at 1:00PM ET. Despite losing to the Broncos on Sunday night, the Packers are still 3-point road favorites over the Panthers in Week 9. Carolina could be undefeated when these two teams meet, making it the second week in a row Green Bay will face an unbeaten team on the road.
Thursday Night Football
AFC North rivals will battle on Thursday night this week as the Bengals host the Browns at 8:25PM ET. According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Bengals opened as 10-point home favorites and that’s where the line currently sits. Cincinnati stayed unbeaten with a come-from-behind win on the road last week in Pittsburgh, while Cleveland blew an early lead to lose at home to Arizona.
Sunday Night Football
While the AFC North will be featured on Thursday night, the NFC East will be represented on Sunday night when the Cowboys host the Eagles at 8:30PM ET. Dallas opened as a 3-point favorite at some Vegas books but the line has already jumped the fence and now Philadelphia is a 2.5-point road favorite. The Cowboys lost 12-10 to the Seahawks in Week 8, while the Eagles had their bye. Dallas hasn’t won since Tony Romo was injured in Week 2, although Dez Bryant did make his return from injury in last week’s loss to Seattle.
