Updated Week 6 NFL Betting Odds Report
With only two teams on bye in Week 6, the NFL schedule is teeming with competitive matchups. These are some of the marquee storylines to which you need to pay attention.
What club embodies the biggest favorite?
On this particular Sunday, there’s nary a double-digit underdog. Yet that doesn’t mean San Francisco stands a very good chance of hanging with Buffalo. According to online sports book BetDSI, Rex Ryan’s bunch enters New Era Field as a 9-point favorite over the 49ers. The visitors will give Colin Kaepernick his first start since Nov. 1, 2015. With precious few options to work with, though, Blaine Gabbert’s replacement at quarterback may endure an awfully tough afternoon. On the other hand, the Bills feel reinvigorated on the heels of a 30-19 beatdown of the Rams.

What’s the smallest point spread?
Kansas City-Oakland affairs rarely produce a lopsided outcome. The commanding manner in which Jack Del Rio’s group has begun 2016, however, makes the AFC West showdown in question even more hotly anticipated than usual. While the 2-2 Chiefs are attempting to stabilize matters, the Raiders yearn to improve to 5-1. Handicappers currently like Andy Reid’s troops as 1-point favorites to topple David Carr & Co. With Jamaal Charles still recovering from a torn ACL, QB Alex Smith must deliver the goods to help Kansas City justify that status.
What is the largest total in Week 6?
So much for Cam Newton requiring a little time to regain his bearings. Oddsmakers envision an absolute shootout in the Bayou, setting the Panthers-Saints figure at 53.5. Carolina’s main man under center returns from a one-game absence, but he should terrorize an atrocious New Orleans secondary. Dennis Allen’s defense has already allowed three of four opposing signal-callers to throw for at least 300 yards. Similarly, Drew Brees could enjoy a banner performance against Carolina’s Josh Norman-less band of corners.
What is the smallest total for Week 6?
Scuffling Cleveland and Tennessee meet up at 1 p.m., and we’re already preparing the beverages. The two offensively challenged squads are predicted to max out at 43 points. Despite a productive first month-plus from DeMarco Murray, the host Titans simply can’t put the ball in the end zone with any regularity. At 2-3, though, they’re preferable to the 0-5 Browns. Once again mired in last place in the AFC North, Hue Jackson’s players have scored 20 points or fewer on three occasions. With Cody Kessler at the controls here, bank on further futility.
What contest has seen the largest line movement?
The Eagles-Redskins tilt remains a difficult one on which to get a read. At present, Carson Wentz and friends represent 3-point road favorites. That number’s on the rise following Washington’s announcement that talented tight end Jordan Reed will sit out due to a concussion. Nonetheless, various individuals want to see how Philadelphia responds after losing to a pedestrian Detroit crew. Wentz wasn’t necessarily to blame for that 24-23 setback, but Ryan Mathews’ possible absence in a few hours threatens to render Doug Pederson’s attack fairly one-dimensional.
