According to oddsmakers at GTBets, Houston is the slight favorite at home, as the Texans are getting odds of -4 points against the Colts. The over/under total for the game has been set at 41 points. Indianapolis has won five straight meetings with Houston and the Colts have gone 4-0-1 against the spread in those five games.

Indianapolis is 2-2 on the season, 0-4 against the spread and 3-1 with the under. The Colts have won two straight after an 0-2 start, beating the Titans and Jaguars by a combined five points. Indy got last week’s win without Andrew Luck, who had a shoulder injury, and reports have Luck sitting out this week as well which means Matt Hasselbeck will get the start. He leads an offense that is averaging just 18 points and 346.2 yards per game. Frank Gore has led the offense with 227 rushing yards and two touchdowns. The Colts defense is giving up 23.2 points and 395.5 yards per game this season and is led by D’Qwell Jackson, who has 47 tackles and four tackles for loss.

Houston is 1-3 on the season, 1-3 against the spread and 2-1-1 with the over. The Texans are coming off a 48-21 thrashing at the hands of the Falcons last week. Houston is averaging just 19.2 points and 396.8 yards per game on offense this season. Houston used both Ryan Mallett and Brian Hoyer again last week, but Bill O’Brien says Mallett is starting in this game. He has thrown for 720 yards and three touchdowns this year. DeAndre Hopkins is leading the offense with 31 catches for 409 yards and three touchdowns. The Houston defense is giving up 27 points and 354 yards per game this year and is led by J.J. Watt, who has 23 tackles with four sacks and four pass deflections.
