Jets vs. Eagles Total Prediction
Fresh off their bye, will the Jets score enough against the Eagles to contribute to the over? Or is the under the better play for bettors when these two teams meet in Philadelphia at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday?

New York Jets Fantasy Spin
Updating a previous item, Sam Darnold (mono) has yet to be cleared for contact. Darnold participated in practice Wednesday, but he’s yet to start lifting weights. There’s a good chance he’s dropped significant weight while out sick. His spleen also remains an issue if he takes a big hit. Coach Adam Gase admitted it’s not ideal, but this thing could go all the way to Sunday. Darnold and Luke Falk are sharing first-team reps as both prepare to start against the Eagles. Overall, this is probably a situation to avoid for now.
Philadelphia Eagles Fantasy Spin
Eagles CB Sidney Jones (hamstring) was limited at practice Wednesday. It’s actually good news for the Eagles considering CBs Jalen Mills (PUP), Avonte Maddox (neck), and Ronald Darby (hamstring) are likely out. It’s not an issue if Luke Falk gets the nod, but Sam Darnold’s (mono) trending availability for Sunday means Philly can currently use all the bodies they can get.
NFL Betting Trends
New York
The over is 6-1 in the Jets’ last seven games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.
Philadelphia
The over is 7-1 in the Eagles’ last eight games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
Prediction
The under is 9-4 in the Jets’ last 13 games following a bye and is 9-4 in their last 13 games after accumulating less than 150 yards passing in their previous game. On the other side, the under is 4-1 in the Eagles’ last five games played in October and is 4-1 in their last five games when facing an opponent with a losing record. I can’t see the Jets moving the ball consistently enough to contribute to the over given their issues at quarterback.
NFL Week 5 Prediction: Jets/Eagles UNDER 44
