Cleveland Browns Fantasy News & Notes
Browns coach Hue Jackson named Baker Mayfield the starting quarterback. "Baker understands there's still a lot of work to do," Jackson said. "But I think he can handle it. He's demonstrated that." He would have been able to handle it Week 1, but better late than never. Mayfield getting the nod is a big upgrade for the entire passing game. Tyrod Taylor (concussion) will serve as the backup once he is healthy.
Oakland Raiders Fantasy News & Notes
Raiders RT Donald Penn (concussion) was limited at Wednesday's practice. It appears Penn has made a shockingly fast recovery from the concussion he suffered in Sunday's loss to Miami. Barring an unexpected setback, the veteran should be out there against Cleveland in Week 4.
NFL Betting Trends
The over is 11-5 in the Browns’ last 16 road games.
The under cashed in nine of the Raiders’ last 10 games overall.
There are a lot of people excited that Mayfield is taking over in Cleveland but his insertion into the starting lineup doesn’t exactly mean the Browns will be scoring at will any time soon. Granted, the Raiders don’t have a great defense, but Jon Gruden has a ball control offense that likes to take the air out of the football, much like we saw a week ago in Miami. Had the Dolphins not scored a couple of times in the fourth quarter the under would have cashed.
NFL Week 4 Prediction: Browns/Raiders under 45
