Broncos vs. Steelers Week 2 Prediction
As Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers look to improve to 2-0 on the season with a win on Sunday over the Denver Broncos, is the total set too high by oddsmakers for this Week 2 matchup?
Game Snapshot
265 Denver Broncos (+7) at 266 Pittsburgh Steelers (-7); o/u 40.5

NFL Week 2
Denver Broncos DfS Spin
Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay (toe) won’t play in Week 2 against the Steelers. It remains unclear if Lindsay will miss any time beyond Week 2. Sunday makes for a terrible matchup against Pittsburgh’s front-seven, which limited Saquon Barkley to six yards on 15 carries in Week 1, but Melvin Gordon did out-snap Royce Freeman 22 to 6 once Lindsay exited on Monday night. Gordon still qualifies as a usage-based RB2/3 despite the terrible matchup.
Pittsburgh Steelers DFS Spin
Steelers RG David DeCastro (lower body) won’t play in Week 2 against the Broncos. Stefan Wisniewski (pectoral) and RT Zach Banner (torn ACL) are also out, pushing Chuks Okorafor and rookie Kevin Dotson into Pittsburgh’s starting lineup. James Conner (ankle) and JuJu Smith-Schuster were cleared from the team’s injury report. It’s possible Conner walks right back into a bell-cow role following Monday’s injury but it’s tough to predict with Benny Snell exploding off the bench. Both runners are expected to face clogged lanes against Denver given the Steelers’ absences up front.
Broncos vs. Steelers Betting Prediction
The under is 21-6-1 in the Broncos’ last 28 conference games, is 9-3-1 in their last 13 road games dating back to last season and is 18-7-1 in their last 26 games overall. On the other side, the under has cashed in four of the Steelers’ last five home games, is 19-7 in their last 26 games overall and is 38-18 in their last 56 games versus the rest of the AFC.
NFL WEEK 2 BETTING PREDICTION: BRONCOS/STEELERS UNDER 40.5
