OUR PREDICTION: I don’t think this is going to be the blowout that everyone is expecting. The Falcons have struggled mightily against the Bears in recent meetings (2-6 against the spread in their last eight games versus Chicago) and are breaking in two new coordinators. At some point the talent that Atlanta possesses will overwhelm opponents on a weekly basis and I do expect the Falcons to win this afternoon. But Matt Ryan and Kyle Shanahan struggled in their first year before exploding in their second season together. It might take a few weeks for Ryan and Steve Sarkisian to get on the same page and the Bears did upgrade their defense this offseason. For what it’s worth, the Falcons lost their opener last season and that was at home. I’d take the six points with the home dog.
