Panthers’ 2015 NFL Season Odds
CHARLOTTE, NC (The Spread) – Will the Carolina Panthers win more games than they did a year ago when they won the NFC South Division for the second consecutive season?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Panthers’ win total has been set at over/under 8.5 for the 2015 season. They’re also 40/1 long shots to win the 2016 Super Bowl, 22/1 to win the NFC Conference championship, and 2/1 to win the NFC South Division.
This offseason the Panthers re-signed tight end Greg Olsen and defensive tackle Dwan Edwards while also adding cornerback Charles Tillman, receiver Jarrett Boykin, offensive tackles Michael Oher and Jonathan Martin, as well as receiver/kick return Ted Ginn in free agency. Their first round pick was linebacker/safety Shaq Thompson, even though many expected the Panthers to take an offensive tackle in the first round.
Carolina will once again rely on quarterback Cam Newton and one of the best front sevens in football, led by linebacker Luke Kuechly. While the Falcons should be improved from a year ago, the Panthers still have the best defense in the division and will compete with Newton under center.
