With so much attention being paid to Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill, could Damien Williams be a sneaky player to target the over in some of his Super Bowl 54 props?

Williams rushed 17 times for 45 yards and one touchdown while also adding five catches for another 44 yards in the Chiefs’ AFC Conference Championship win over the Titans. With LeSean McCoy ruled inactive prior to kickoff, Williams out-touched Darwin Thompson 22-to-1 and in two postseason games has 92 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 29 carries. Williams has also been targeted 12 times, hauling in seven passes for 65 yards and a touchdown.
Through the opening eight games of the regular season, Williams had totated just 48 carries for 100 yards and two rushing touchdowns. He had 15 receptions for 115 yards and an additional score, but things turned in Week 9. His offensive snaps jumped to 73% that week, followed by 73% in Week 10, 53% in Week 16 and 71% in Week 17. As noted above, Williams has made a big impact this postseason, playing 97% of Kansas City’s offensive snaps versus Houston in the Divisional round and 85% of the offensive snaps versus Tennessee in the AFC title game.
With so much attention being paid to Mahomes, Kelce, Hill and even Sammy Watkins, I see some sneaky value with Williams as the Chiefs prepare to take on the 49ers in Super Bowl 54. While 15.5 might be a tough nut to crack when it comes to his rushing attempts, I see him going over three receptions. He was targeted six times apiece in the two playoff games for the Chiefs this season, catching two and five passes, respectively, in those matchups. He recorded 21 receiving yards versus the Texans and 44 versus the Titans, so the over on his receiving yards for Sunday is also in play.
Granted, the 49ers shut down Dalvin Cook (26 yards) and Alvin Kamara (43 yards) this season, two excellent backs that were featured by their respective offenses. That said, again, with Kelce and Hill drawing so much attention, I see Williams being a factor in the receiving game in what could be a shootout tonight in Miami.
