Earl Thomas upgraded to limited
SEATTLE, WA (The Spread) – The Seahawks received a little bit of good news regarding the health of one of their key defensive players on Friday.
Safety Earl Thomas was upgraded to limited in Friday’s practice after he rested on Wednesday and Thursday. Thomas dislocated his shoulder during Seattle’s come-from-behind victory over Green Bay in last Sunday’s NFC title game and is expected to play versus the Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX.
Richard Sherman, who was also injured during the NFC Championship Game last week, is practicing in full. The Pro Bowl cornerback has said that he’ll be ready to play without limitations against the Patriots after injuring his elbow against the Packers. While Thomas and Sherman may not be 100-percent for the big game, there’s little doubt that they’ll both be in uniform come next weekend.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Patriots are a 2-point favorite over the Seahawks for Super Bowl XLIX. But depending on which sports book you view, oddsmakers at other Vegas and online sites either have New England listed as 1-point favorites or the game is sitting as a pick’em.
