Updated Super Bowl 50 Odds
With Wild Card Weekend now in the books, here's an updated look at each of the remaining teams' odds to win Super Bowl 50 heading into the NFL Divisional round.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Cardinals are the current favorite to win Super Bowl 50 at 7/2 odds. Arizona will host Green Bay this Saturday night and is a 7.5-point favorite over the Packers after beating them 38-8 just a few weeks ago. If the Seahawks pull off an upset in Carolina this weekend, the Cardinals would host the NFC championship game with a win over the Pack. If the Panthers win, Arizona would head to Charlotte next Sunday. The Cardinals opened as 33/1 long shots to win the Super Bowl before the season started.
The Next Best
The Patriots have the next best odds to win Super Bowl 50 at 4/1, while the Panthers are 5/1 and the Broncos and Seahawks are both 11/2, respectively. The Chiefs are also in the mix at 17/2 after crushing the Texans 30-0 in the Wild Card round last Saturday. At the start of the season, Kansas City and Carolina were both 40/1 long shots to win the Super Bowl while the Patriots were 7/1 and the Broncos were 10/1. At 5/1, the Seahawks opened the season as the favorites to win it all.
The Long Shots
The Steelers are 12/1 to win Super Bowl 50 while the Packers are currently 16/1. With a lot of help from some boneheaded penalties by the Bengals, Pittsburgh pulled off a miraculous victory in Cincinnati on Saturday night but the Steelers emerged from that game severely banged up. DeAngelo Williams was already out with an ankle injury, but quarterback Ben Roethlisberger suffered a shoulder injury and Antonio Brown had to exit the game on the Steelers' final drive after taking a nasty hit to the head by Cincinnati linebacker Vontaze Burfict (which was part of the aforementioned boneheaded penalties on the Bengals). The Steelers are optimistic that Big Ben will play this weekend but either way, they face long odds to reach Super Bowl 50 given their injuries.
