Giants vs. Packers Wildcard Pick
Will the Giants and Packers combine to score enough points to push the score over the betting total on Sunday at 4:40PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Packers are 4.5-point home favorites over the Giants while the over/under currently sits at 44.5 points. Green Bay opened as a 4.5-point favorite as well but the line was initially bet down a full point to 3.5 before jumping back up to 4, then 4.5.

Paul Perkins’ start in Week 17 for the Giants could carry over to the first round of the playoffs. ESPN Giants reporter Jordan Raanan believes there’s a good chance that Perkins will start again after piling up 102 yards on 21 carries. It was the first 100-yard game from a New York Giants running back this season. Rashad Jennings produced just 52 yards on 18 carries and has struggled for weeks. Perhaps Perkins will give the team’s running game some life.
The Packers got some good news this week when cornerback Damarious Randall was a full participant at Thursday’s practice. He was limited on Wednesday but with him practicing on Thursday he’s now on track to play this weekend. As for Randall Cobb, coach Mike McCarthy said that the receiver “had a good day’s work” Wednesday and practiced again on Thursday. Green Bay appears to be getting healthy at the right time.

OUR PREDICTION: This matchup will display some of the marquee offensive talent in the game, including Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson, Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. But I still can’t see how this game goes over the total. The Giants haven’t scored over 30 points in a game all season, so if they struggle offensively, can the Packers make up the difference against a New York defense that is playing like a Super Bowl-caliber unit? The Green Bay secondary has been a problem, but if Randall returns that will be a boost for the Packers and if the temperatures for Sunday are expected to be in the low teens.
