Los Angeles Chargers DFS Spin

Justin Herbert completed 21-of-33 passes for 253 yards and one touchdown in the Chargers' Week 16 win over the Broncos. Herbert was without Keenan Allen and Hunter Henry, yet still looked like the 2020 Offensive Rookie of the Year. His arm strength and poise in the pocket have been special by rookie standards all year despite getting little to nothing from his offensive line and coaching staff. Herbert only took two sacks and added 26 rushing yards on scrambles. The former No. 6 overall pick will look to lock up his OROY trophy in Week 17 against the Chiefs who may be benching some starters. Herbert needs two more touchdowns to get to 30. He's already over 4,000 yards.

Kansas City Chiefs DFS Spin

Coach Andy Reid announced Patrick Mahomes will rest Week 17 against the Chargers, and Chad Henne will make the start. Kansas City has already locked up the No. 1 seed in the AFC and a first-round bye. Mahomes will essentially get two weeks off and sets his eyes on what the team hopes is a second straight Super Bowl title. 35-year-old Henne will be making his first start since 2014. Expect the Chiefs to rest a majority of their other key starters.

Chargers vs. Chiefs Betting Prediction

The road team is 8-2-1 against the spread in the last 11 meetings between these two teams while the Chargers are 3-1-1 against the number in their last five games at Arrowhead. The Bolts are also 4-1 agianst the spread in their last five games following an ATS win and are 5-2-1 against the spread in their last eight games played in January. With the Chiefs resting key starters while looking ahead to a bye week and the playoffs starting, the Chargers should be able to cover against Kansas City’s backups.
