Browns vs. Steelers Prediction
Despite resting several key starters, will the Steelers still cover against the Browns when the AFC North rivals clash at 1:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Steelers are 5.5-point home favorites versus the Browns after opening as an 11-point favorite. The total for today’s game also dropped, opening at 44.5 before dropping to 42.5.
CLEVELAND KEY TRENDS: The Browns are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five road games, are 1-10 against the number in their last 11 divisional games, and are 1-10 at the betting window in their last 11 games when playing an opponent with a winning record. They’re also 6-20 against the spread in their last 26 games overall and 0-7 at the window in their last seven games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous contest.
PITTSBURGH KEY TRENDS: The Steelers are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games overall, are 4-1 against the number in their last five conference games, and are 11-3-2 at the betting window in their last 16 games played in the month of January. They’re also a perfect 4-0 against the number in their last four games in Week 17 and are 4-1 ATS in their last five games coming off a win.

OUR PREDICTION: Even with Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell out for today’s game, I still like the Steelers. DeAngelo Williams has plenty of experience as a starter and will be the bellcow back, plus Landry Jones started for Big Ben when the latter was out with an injury earlier this season. The Browns picked up their first win last week and I’m banking on them playing a content game today in Pittsburgh.
NFL WEEK 17 PREDICTION: PITTSBURGH STEELERS -5.5
