(STATS) – Eastern Washington will complete its 2018 schedule with a Sept. 1 home game against Central Washington.
Central Washington, an NCAA Division II program, confirmed the matchup in its schedule release Thursday. New EWU athletic director Lynn Hickey had said earlier this week the Big Sky school was close to finalizing an 11th game – the FCS maximum this year – to its previously announced schedule.
The two schools, located about 160 miles apart, are former rivals on the D-II level. Eastern Washington leads the all-time series 34-30-4, winning the most recent matchup in September 2010 before going on to win the FCS national title.
