DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -David Cutcliffe completed his first staff at Duke on Friday when he hired New Orleans Saints assistant Marion Hobby as defensive coordinator and defensive line coach.
“The first thing to know about Marion is that he is a winner,” Cutcliffe said. “He has a great understanding of the game and is an exceptional leader of young men.”
Hobby was on Sean Payton’s staff in New Orleans for the past two seasons, joining the Saints after a season at Clemson and six seasons with Cutcliffe at Mississippi.
Hobby becomes the sixth member of the Duke staff to have worked with Cutcliffe at Ole Miss.
