The Records
Clemson enters play with a perfect 10-0 record but is just 5-4-1 against the spread this season. On the other side, Wake Forest is 3-7 straight up and 5-5 against the spread.
The Pick
Clemson has scored 30 or more points in every game this season expect for three: Louisville, Notre Dame (which was played in soggy conditions) and Florida State. Wake’s defense is underrated but the Tigers still have plenty of weapons offensively to reach the 30s – and that’s with running back Wayne Gallman questionable with an ankle injury. The Demon Deacons only scored 7 points last weekend in their loss to the Irish but they actually outgained Notre Dame 340-282. If they can reach double-digits in points scored today, the combined score shouldn’t have any problem sailing over the total.
