Bret Bielema enters his fifth season at

Wisconsin
after having won at least seven games the previous four years. This season, the Badgers have a strong team on paper, returning 16 starters from a year ago.

Offensively is where the Badgers should be their strongest, as they have 10 back, led by tailback John Clay who rushed for 1,517 yards with 18 touchdowns to win Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2009.

Quarterback Scott Tolzien is back after throwing for 2,706 yards and 16 scores and the entire offensive line is back to aid both Tolzien and Clay. At receiver, Nick Toon leads the way after catching 54 passes for 805 yards and four scores a year ago.

On defense, the Badgers bring back six, led by safety Jay Valai, who was Second Team All-Big Ten a year ago. Linebacker Chris Borland was a Freshman All-American at linebacker after picking up 54 tackles and five sacks in 2009. On the defensive line, J.J. Watt is the lone returning starter. The defensive end had 11 tackles for loss in 2009.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL currently list

Wisconsin
as 35/1 to win the 2011 BCS National Championship. The Badgers are also given 4/1 odds to win the Big Ten Conference.

A light non-conference schedule makes way for the Badgers to potentially run the table if they sweep the Big Ten. With the meat of the schedule at home, including
Ohio
State
, the Badgers just need to win key games at
Iowa and at

Michigan
late to take the conference. An unbeaten Big Ten team should be poised for a spot in the national title game, so

Wisconsin
has to be considered a dark horse to win it all this year.
