Game Snapshot

259 Pittsburgh Panthers (+3) vs. 260 Michigan State Spartans (-3); o/u 55.5

7:00 p.m. ET, Saturday, December 30, 20201

Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, GA

Pittsburgh Panthers Game Notes

Pittsburgh redshirt senior WR Melquise Stovall (undisclosed) will play in the Peach Bowl against Michigan State. Stovall (5'9/190) is a collegiate journeyman who started his career at Cal, transferred to Hawaii, and is now finishing out his time in Pittsburgh. He's been battling injuries most of the season and hasn't been able to contribute much, but hopefully can be another weapon for quarterback Nick Patti as he'll replace Kenny Pickett in the Peach Bowl.

Michigan State Spartans Game Notes

Michigan State redshirt sophomore WR Jalen Nailor (hand) Is set to play in the Peach Bowl against Pittsburgh. Nailor (6'0/190) has been sidelined for the last four games as he dealt with a hand injury, but he’s set to play in MSU’s final game of the season. This is a big return for the Spartans as despite not playing the past month, he finished second on the team in receiving yards, catches, and receiving touchdowns. With MSU not having star runner Kenneth Walker as he opted out to prepare for the draft, they may go a little more pass-heavy, and having one of their best receivers back will help them tremendously.

Pittsburgh vs. Michigan State Bowl Prediction

The Spartans are 8-2-2 against the spread in their last 12 games overall, are 8-2-1 against the number in their last 11 neutral site games and are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven bowl games. The Panthers, meanwhile, are 2-5 against the spread in their last seven neutral site games, are 2-6 against the number in their last eight neutral site games as an underdog and are 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine games against the Big Ten.
