Buffaloes picking up steam
Colorado is riding back-to-back wins heading into this weekend’s game. The Buffaloes are coming off a 20-14 win at home over Washington last weekend. Colorado is 5-6 on the season, 3-5 in the Pac-12, 6-5 against the spread and 6-5 with the under.
The Buffaloes are struggling on both sides of the ball, allowing 30.6 points and 448.7 yards per game. Offensively, Colorado is putting up 24.3 points and 404.1 yards per contest. Steven Montez has thrown for 2,651 yards and 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Alex Fontenot is the leading rusher with 825 yards and five touchdowns while Laviska Shenault Jr. is the leading receiver with 52 catches for 721 yards and four scores.
Utes remain hot
Utah is coming off a 35-7 win at Arizona last weekend for a seventh straight victory. The Utes have won all but one in this streak by at least 18 points. Utah is 10-1 on the season, 7-1 in the Pac-12, 8-3 against the spread and 8-2-1 with the under.
The Utes have been a tremendous defense all season, allowing just 10.9 points and 244 yards per contest. Bradlee Anae is leading the defense with 28 tackles and 11 sacks. College Football Betting Trends
Colorado
The Buffaloes have hit the under in five of their last six conference games and in eight of their last 11 road games.
Utah
The Utes are 7-1-1 with the under in their last nine games overall and 6-1-1 with the under in their last eight following a win.
Prediction:
These two have hit the under in four straight meetings and I think it can hit this time around as well. The Utes have been locked in defensively, allowing less than 10 points in five of their last six games. Colorado hasn’t been an impressive offense either, so I expect the Buffaloes to struggle on the road. Utah did light up UCLA, but the Utes have been typically topping out around 35 points. They aren’t built to really be throwing up 50 points. I think the Utah defense will do enough to keep the total low.
College Football Week 14 Prediction: Colorado/Utah Under 49.5
