Oklahoma survives Iowa State
After suffering a 48-41 loss at Kansas State three weeks ago, Oklahoma survived a scare this past weekend from Iowa State, picking up a 42-41 victory at home. The Sooners are now 8-1 on the season, 5-1 in the Big 12, 4-5 against the spread and 5-3-1 with the over.
Oklahoma has one of the top offenses in the nation, averaging 48.4 points and 587.3 yards per game. Defensively, the Sooners are giving up 25 points and 355.1 yards per contest. Jalen Hurts is leading the team with 2,742 passing yards and 24 touchdowns while also rushing for 869 yards and 15 scores. Kennedy Brooks is the leading running back with 515 yards and three scores. CeeDee Lamb is the leading receiver with 44 catches for 983 yards and 13 scores.
Baylor stays unbeaten
Baylor kept its unbeaten season alive last weekend with a 29-23 OT win at TCU. The Bears are now 9-0 on the year, 6-0 in the Big 12, 5-4 against the spread and 5-4 with the over.
The Bears are pretty sound on both sides of the ball. The defense is allowing just 19 points and 337.4 yards per game. Offensively, Baylor is averaging 35.3 points and 459.6 yards per contest. Charlie Brewer is leading the team with 2,338 passing yards and 16 touchdowns. He also has rushed for 211 yards and seven scores. John Lovett is the leading rusher with 532 yards and four scores while Denzel Mims is the leading receiver with 44 catches and 675 yards and eight touchdowns.
College Football Betting Trends
Oklahoma
The Sooners have hit the over in six straight games in November and in eight of their last 11 against a winning team.
Baylor
The Bears have hit the under in seven of their last 10 conference games and in five of their last seven following a cover.
Prediction:
These two have hit the over in three of their last four meetings. I think they will do that again this Saturday. The Sooners haven’t met a defense that can stop them yet. They have scored at least 41 in all but one game this year. Recently, we have seen the Sooners defense struggle. They have given up 89 points over their last two games against two teams that aren’t the most overwhelming offensive teams. Baylor has the capability to move the ball and I think they will continue to expose the weaknesses in the Oklahoma defense.
