LSU wins at Alabama
The LSU Tigers are coming off a major victory, picking up 46-41 win at Alabama last weekend. The Tigers are now 9-0 on the season, 5-0 in the SEC, 6-3 against the spread and 6-3 with the over.
LSU has one of the best offenses in the nation this year, averaging 46.7 points and 538.6 yards per contest. Defensively, LSU is giving up 22.3 points and 341.4 yards per contest. Joe Burrow has emerged as a leading Heisman candidate. He has thrown for 3,198 yards and 33 touchdowns this year while also rushing for 189 yards and three scores. Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase each have over 880 receiving yards and have combined for 19 TD receptions. Clyde Edwards-Helaire is the team’s leading rusher with 786 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Rebels end skid
Ole Miss is coming off a 41-3 win over New Mexico State last weekend to end a three-game losing streak. The Rebels are now 4-6 on the season, 2-4 in the SEC, 6-4 against the spread and 6-4 with the under.
The Rebels are somewhat average on both sides of the ball. The offense is putting up 26.2 points and 434.6 yards per game. Defensively, Ole Miss is giving up 23.9 points and 397.4 yards per contest. The Rebels have a strong rushing attack with four players over 430 yards. John Rhys Plumlee is leading the way with 777 yards and seven touchdowns. College Football Betting Trends
The Tigers are 5-1 with the over in their last six road games and 7-2 with the over in their last nine games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game.
The Rebels have hit the under in their last five games in November, but 5-1 with the over in their last six games following a win.
These two have hit the over in the last two meetings as LSU has put up at least 38 points in three straight against the Rebels. Following back-to-back games with Auburn and Alabama, I think LSU may see a little regression in performance. Following a hard-fought win over Florida, the Tigers scored only 36 at Mississippi State the following week. I could see a dip in scoring this week as well after such a big win. I do think the defense should still hold up to a degree though. Ole Miss has been held under 30 in their last three conference games.
College Football Week 12 Prediction: LSU/Ole Miss Under 65
