Bearcats on a tear
Cincinnati is riding a seven-game win streak following a 48-3 victory over Connecticut last weekend at home. Cincinnati is now 8-1 on the season, 5-0 in the AAC, 6-3 against the spread and 6-3 with the under.
The Bearcats have been a pretty solid defense this year. They are giving up just 21 points and 363.2 yards per game. Offensively, Cincinnati is putting up 32.7 points and 406.2 yards per contest. Desmond Ridder is leading the offense with 1,696 passing yards and 17 touchdowns while rushing for 417 yards and a score. Michael Warren II is the leading rusher with 699 yards and nine scores. Josiah Deguara is the leading receiver with 28 catches for 414 yards and seven touchdowns.
USF falls to Temple
The South Florida football team is coming off a 17-7 loss at home to Temple last week. The Bulls haven’t been able to get on a win streak this year and are now 4-5 on the season, 2-3 in the AAC, 5-4 against the spread and 4-4-1 with the over/under total.
USF hasn’t had much success on offense this season, averaging only 24 points and 346.1 yards per game. The Bulls’ defense is allowing just 27.1 points and 377.7 yards per contest. Jordan McCloud is leading the offense with 1,001 passing yards and 11 touchdowns while rushing for 237 yards and four scores. Jordan Cronkrite is the leading rusher with 608 yards and four touchdowns. Mitchell Wilcox is the leading receiver with 20 catches for 309 yards and four scores.
College Football Betting Trends
Cincinnati
The Bearcats are 8-2 with the under in their last 10 games on grass and 20-6 in their last 26 against a team with a losing record.
South Florida
The Bulls are 17-7 with the over in their last 24 games against a winning team and 4-1 with the over in their last five games following a loss.
Prediction:
These two have hit the over in three of their last four meetings. The Bulls have been struggling to consistently score, putting up just seven against Temple and three at Navy. The Bearcats have been a little streaky on defense as well. They gave up just three last week to UConn, but gave up 43 at ECU the week prior. They have allowed at least 23 points in their last two road games and I think USF will find some touchdowns at home in this game. Cincinnati has been able to score consistently into the mid-20’s to 30’s. I don’t think the Bulls will completely lock them up, which will allow the over to hit in this one.
