According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Michigan is favored on the road tonight, as the Wolverines are getting odds of -21.5 points against Iowa. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 50.5 points. Iowa has won four of the last five meetings with Michigan, but the Wolverines are 5-2 against the spread in the last seven of this series.

Michigan is now 9-0 with a 59-3 win over Maryland at home. The Wolverines are 6-0 in the Big Ten and 5-4 against the spread. They are playing in just their third road game of the season tonight. This season, Michigan is giving up only 10.7 points and 246.3 yards per game, which puts them among the best defensive units in the country. The offense is also putting up 48 points and 497.4 yards per contest. Wilton Speight has thrown for 2,053 yards and 15 touchdowns to lead the offense while De’Veon Smith is the leading rusher with 564 yards and eight touchdowns. Three other players have over 400 rushing yards.

Iowa is coming off a 41-14 loss at Penn State last week. The Hawkeyes are now 5-4 on the season and 3-3 in the Big Ten. They are also 3-6 against the spread. Iowa is 2-3 at home this season, but the three losses are by no more than 8 points. Iowa has struggled offensively, putting up just 335.4 yards per game this season. The defense is giving up 402 yards per game, including 176.6 rushing yards per contest. On offense, Iowa is led by its run game. Akrum Wadley and LeShun Daniel Jr. have combined for over 1,300 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns. C.J. Beathard has thrown for 1,584 yards and 13 touchdowns as well.

Michigan has been cruising but road night games can be tricky. While Iowa has been struggling, most of their woes have been on the road. Their three combined losses at home have been by a total of 17 points. Look for Iowa to put up enough of a fight at home to stay within three touchdowns of the Wolverines.
