Baylor vs. Oklahoma Prediction

Baylor vs. Oklahoma College Football Week 11 Predictions 11/12/16

Can Baylor stay within double digits of Oklahoma this afternoon when the two Big 12 rivals clash at 12:00PM ET in Norman?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Sooners are now 16-point home favorites versus the Bears after opening as a 14.5-point favorite. As for the total, the number hit the board at 80 and that's where it currently sits at the majority of both online and Vegas sports books.

BAYLOR KEY TRENDS: The Bears are winless at 0-4 against the spread in their last four road games and have now failed to cover in six of their last eight games overall. They're also 1-6 at the betting window in their last seven games in November but have thrived in the underdog role, going 6-0 against the number in their last six games as a dog. They're also 5-1 at the betting window in their last six games as a road underdog.

OKLAHOMA KEY TRENDS: The Sooners have won six in a row but they continue to be a poor play at the betting window, covering just three times in their last 10 contests. They're also 2-6 against the spread in their last eight games when they're favored by 10.5 points or greater and are just 2-5 at the window in their last seven games coming off a win.

OUR PREDICTION: This line feels inflated. I know the Bears are coming off back-to-back ugly performances against Texas, which upset Baylor 35-34 as a 4-point underdog in Austin two weeks ago, and TCU, which crushed BU 62-22 as a 7-point underdog in Waco last Saturday. Baylor hadn't played anybody before losing to Texas and after having its playoff hopes crushed by the Longhorns, the Bears seemingly laid an egg last week versus the Horned Frogs. I'm not excusing the Bears performance last week against one of their biggest rivals but now they have an opportunity to dash Oklahoma's long-shot playoff hopes today. They're 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 games as a road underdog of 10.5 points or greater and should stay within the 16 points this afternoon.
