Auburn vs. Georgia Prediction
Will Auburn covering as a double-digit road favorite this afternoon when the Tigers visit Georgia at 3:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Tigers are 10-point road favorites versus the Bulldogs while the over/under currently sits at 48 points. As of this writing, neither the side nor the total have moved off the original numbers posted by oddsmakers.
AUBURN KEY TRENDS: The Tigers have been a great road bet of late, covering in all four of their last four contests away from Auburn. They're also 5-1 against the spread in their lat six games overall and are a perfect 4-0 at the betting window in their last four games when they're favored on the road. As a favorite overall, the Tigers are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games and have covered in four of five conference games as well.
GEORGIA KEY TRENDS: The Bulldogs have not been a good play at home, as they've failed to cover in eight of their last 11 games in Athens. They've been an even worst bet as an underdog, going just 3-12 at the betting window in their last 12 games when getting points and are 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games as a home dog. They are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games in November, but that's about the only positive trend that Georgia can muster at the moment.
OUR PREDICTION: The Tigers have held seven opponents to 16 points or fewer this season, which is bad news for a Georgia offense that's averaging just 23.7 points per game (100th in the nation). The Bulldogs' offensive woes start with a passing attack that ranks 92nd in the country and while their defense has been respectable this season, if they're on the field too long today then Kamryn Pettway and Auburn's No. 3 rushing attack is going to wear on UGA. Ten points is a lot to lay on a road favorite but this isn't the same Bulldog team that we've grown accustomed to seeing fight between the hedges.
