Florida vs. South Carolina Odds
No. 11 Florida has already locked up a division title, but it looks to stay in the playoff hunt on Saturday when it hits the road to face South Carolina at Noon ET on ESPN.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Florida is favored on the road in this contest, as the Gators are getting odds of -7.5 points against the Gamecocks. The over/under total for the game has been set at 46.5 points. South Carolina has won four of the last five in this series and the Gamecocks are 3-2 against the spread in those five games. These two have hit the under in five of their last six meetings.
Florida is 8-1 on the season, 6-1 in the SEC, 6-3 against the spread and 5-4 with the under. The Gators are coming off a 9-7 win over Vanderbilt at home last week for their second straight win since a 35-28 loss to LSU. Florida has a dominant defense that ranks fourth in scoring (14.6 ppg) and sixth in yards allowed (288.8 ypg). The offense is putting up 28.6 points and 367.2 yards per contest. Kelvin Taylor has run for 631 yards and 11 touchdowns to lead the offense while Demarcus Robinson has 44 catches for 475 yards and two touchdowns. Treon Harris has thrown for 853 yards and five scores since filling in for the suspended Will Grier.
South Carolina is 3-6 on the year, 1-6 in the SEC, 5-4 against the spread and 5-3-1 with the under. The Gamecocks are coming off a 27-24 loss at Tennessee for their second straight loss. The offense is posting just 21.7 points and 367.1 yards per game this season while the defense is giving up 27.3 points and 428 yards per game. Perry Orth has thrown for 1,180 yards and seven touchdowns this season while Pharoh Cooper has caught 48 passes for 656 yards and five touchdowns. Brandon Wilds has added 507 rushing yards and two scores.
