Miami picks up big victory
The Miami Hurricanes are coming off road wins over Pittsburgh and Florida State the last two weeks. The win over FSU was 27-10 and forced the Seminoles to first their head coach. Miami comes into this game at 5-4 overall, 3-3 in the ACC, 5-4 against the spread and 5-4 with the under.
Miami has a very strong defense. The Hurricanes are allowing just 18.3 points and 290.3 yards per game. Gregory Rousseau has been leading the unit with 34 tackles and 12 sacks. Offensively, Miami hasn’t been the best. The Canes are putting up 26.8 points and 381.7 yards per game. Jarren Williams has thrown for 1,449 yards and 10 touchdowns this year and had over 300 yards last week. DeeJay Dallas is the team’s leading rusher with 547 yards and seven touchdowns while Brevin Jordan is the leading receiver with 35 catches for 495 yards and two scores.
Cardinals trying to get on track
Louisville has been heating up as of late, winning three of its last four games, including a 28-21 victory over Virginia at home two weeks ago. The Cardinals are now 5-3 on the season, 3-2 in the ACC, 5-3 against the spread and 5-3 with the under.
The Cardinals have been pretty respectable on offense, averaging 32.8 points and 445.8 yards per game. Defensively, Louisville is giving up 31.9 points and 437.2 yards per contest. Micale Cunningham has led the offense this year with 1,009 passing yards and eight touchdowns in limited starts, while also rushing for 313 yards and four scores. College Football Betting Trends
Miami
The Hurricanes are 9-2 with the under in their last 11 games against a winning team and 11-4-1 with the under in their last 16 games overall.
Louisville
The Cardinals are 5-1 with the over in their last six road games and 6-2 with the under in their last eight games following a cover.
Prediction:
These two have hit the under in their last three meetings and I like the under to hit again in this one. The Miami defense has been the story in most of their games this year and I think that will be the case today. Miami has limiting three of their last four opponents to 12 points or less. While Louisville has the ability to be explosive on offense, they have struggle with strong defensive teams like Clemson and Notre Dame. Miami doesn’t have the offense like those teams, but their defense is right up there with them.
