Oregon State heating up
Oregon State has won two straight road games over Cal and Arizona to get back into the mix for a bowl game. The Beavers are now 4-4 overall, 3-2 in the Pac-12, 6-2 against the spread and 4-4 with the over/under total.
The Beavers are putting up some solid numbers on offense this year, averaging 33.6 points and 431 yards per game. However, the defense has given up 32.4 points and 439.3 yards per contest. Jake Luton is having a very good year with 1,930 passing yards and 19 touchdowns with only one interception. Isaiah Hodgins is his leading receiver with 63 catches for 895 yards and 12 touchdowns. Artavis Pierce is leading the ground attack with 696 yards and six touchdowns, while Hamilcar Rashed Jr. is leading the Oregon State defense with 43 tackles and nine sacks.
Washington slips up against Utah
Washington is coming off a third loss in four games last weekend after falling at home to Utah, 33-28. The Huskies are now 5-4 on the season, 2-4 in the Pac-12, 5-4 against the spread and 6-3 with the over.
The Huskies have been respectable on defense this season, allowing 22.8 points and 375.3 yards per game. Offensively, Washington is putting up 34.9 points and 416.1 yards per contest. Jacob Eason has thrown for 2,297 yards and 20 touchdowns to lead the offense this year while Salvon Ahmed is the leading rusher with 712 yards and seven touchdowns. Aaron Fuller is the team’s leading receiver with 43 catches for 582 yards and six touchdowns. Fuller is questionable for this game due to an ankle injury.
College Football Betting Trends
Oregon State
The Beavers are 2-7 against the spread in their last nine home games and 1-4 ATS in their last five Friday games.
Washington
The Huskies are 7-2 against the spread in their last nine Friday games, but 4-11 ATS in their last 15 conference games.
Prediction:
Washington has won seven straight in this series, going 5-2 against the spread in those seven victories. The Huskies aren’t far from being a good team. They should have beaten Utah last week before letting things get away in the second half. Oregon State was able to win their last two on the road, but I think the Beavers are going to struggle with the Huskies tonight. Washington has a better offense and the Huskies’ defense is significantly better. That should be the different tonight. Oregon State won’t be able to make consistent stops while the Huskies will. I think Washington can cover the spread.
