Wyoming heating up
The Wyoming Cowboys are coming off a bye week, but they have won back-to-back games, besting New Mexico and Nevada. Wyoming is 6-2 on the season, 3-1 in the MWC, 5-3 against the spread and 5-3 with the under.
Wyoming is respectable on defense this season, allowing 17.6 points and 387.1 yards per game. Offensively, Wyoming is putting up 28.9 points and 364.2 yards per contest. The Cowboys have a great rushing attack. Sean Chambers has thrown for 915 yards and seven touchdowns while rushing for 567 yards and 10 touchdowns. However, he suffered a season-ending knee injury recently. Tyler Vander Waal is his replacement. He is just 4 of 16 passing for 84 yards. Xazavian Valladay is the leading rusher with 631 yards and four scores. Raghib Ismail Jr. is the leading receiver with 11 receptions for 203 yards and two scores. Alijah Halliburton is leading the defense with 76 tackles, two sacks and an interception.
Boise State bounces back
Boise State is coming off a 52-42 win at home at San Jose State last week to bounce back from a 28-25 loss at BYU prior to that. The Broncos are now 7-1 on the season, 4-0 in the Mountain West, 4-3-1 against the spread and 5-3 with the over.
The Broncos are putting up 37.4 points and 469.2 yards per game on offense this year, while the defense is giving up 23.4 points and 351.9 yards per contest. Hank Bachmeier has thrown for 1,760 yards and nine touchdowns to lead the offense. George Holani is the leading rusher with 589 yards and five touchdowns while John Hightower is the leading receiver with 31 catches for 584 yards. Curtis Weaver is leading the defense with 35 tackles and 10.5 sacks.
College Football Betting Trends
Wyoming
The Cowboys are 9-2-1 with the under in their last 12 road games and 6-1 with the under in their last seven games in November.
Boise State
The Broncos are 7-1 with the under in their last eight games against a winning team and in six of their last eight conference games.
Prediction:
These two have hit the under in three of their last four meetings, and in five straight meetings in Boise. The Broncos have been steady on offense, but they are facing a good defensive team. I think their scoring will be limited to somewhere around 30 points. Defensively, Boise is going to be able to lock up this Wyoming offense. The Cowboys are without their top player now and going on the road should be trouble. I don’t see Wyoming being able to put up much consistent offense in this one and that should allow the under to hit here.
