Kentucky Wildcats Game Notes
Will Levis (shoulder) returned to the field after departing to the locker room with an apparent left shoulder injury, Jon Hale of the Lexington Herald-Leader reports. Levis went back to the locker room early in the third quarter after being hit on a throwing attempt and appeared to be favoring his left shoulder. The senior quarterback returned to the sidelines shortly thereafter and ran onto the field with the offense, only to lead them on a touchdown drive to take the lead. He’ll figure to remain in the rest of the game despite presumably battling through an injury.
Tennessee Volunteers Game Notes
Hendon Hooker completed 18-of-24 passes for 276 yards and three touchdowns Saturday against UT-Martin. Hooker barely broke a sweat in the 65-21 rout, though still managed to rip apart the hapless Skyhawks. He has over 2,000 yards passing, 18 touchdown tosses and just one pick through seven contests. With over 300 rushing yards as well, Hooker should be considered a Heisman frontrunner at this time. An intriguing matchup with rival Kentucky could pose more difficulty next weekend, though.
