Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Huskies are 17.5-point favorites to beat the Buffaloes. The total, meanwhile, sits at 50 points. As of this writing, 63% of the public betting tickets wagered on this matchup are on the Buffaloes.

Colorado Buffaloes

Colorado sophomore WR Laviska Shenault (toe) is day-to-day. Shenault (6'2/220) injured his toe in Saturday's loss to USC. That he's considered day-to-day should be considered an encouraging sign that he might not have to miss any game action upcoming. Colorado will need Shenault at full speed or close to it on Saturday, as the Buffs will be aiming for a finishing blow against a once-promising Washington squad currently sitting on two losses.

Washington Huskies

Washington offensive coordinator Bush Hamdan expects senior RB Myles Gaskin (shoulder) to play on Saturday against Colorado. Gaskin and backup RB Salvon Ahmed were considered "week-to-week" on Monday, but it sounds like the Huskies will have both available against the Buffaloes. Gaskin injured his shoulder against UCLA, and was in-and-out of the overtime loss to Oregon last week. Even with the depth the Huskies have at tailback, his return obviously would be big; especially if he can pair with Ahmed.

Betting Trends

The Buffaloes are 0-8 against the spread in their last eight games versus the Huskies and have not covered the spread once in their last four trips to Seattle.

The favorite is 6-0 against the spread in the last six meetings between these two teams.

Unfortunately, USC exposed Colorado for what it is offensively: The Buffs don’t have much outside of Heisman candidate Laviska Shenault Jr. Contain him and you’ll contain the Buffs’ offense. This is a lot of points and I fear the Huskies won’t be highly motivated after having their season busted a week ago in Eugene. That said, Washington has held four of its last five opponents to a season-low in yards. Even if the Huskies start slow offensively, I expect U-Dub to hold Colorado in check and eventually pull away in the second half, covering the spread in the process.
