Washington vs. Oregon Total Prediction

Washington Huskies vs. Oregon Ducks, 10/10/18 Predictions & Odds

One of the more underrated Power 5 matchups this Saturday will take place in Eugene where the Oregon Ducks will host the Washington Huskies at 3:30 p.m. ET. Is the betting total set too high?

Game Snapshot

159 Washington Huskies at 160 Oregon Ducks

3:30 p.m. ET, Saturday, October 13, 2018

Autzen Stadium, Eugene, Oregon

Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Huskies are 3-point favorites to beat the Ducks. The total, meanwhile, sits at 57.5 points. As of this writing, 58% of the public betting tickets wagered on this matchup are on the Huskies.

Washington Huskies

Washington senior QB Jake Browning completed 18-of-26 passes for 265 yards with a touchdown and interception and ran for 49 yards and a score in a 31-24 victory over UCLA on Saturday. Browning's interception was a high throw that went over the head of Aaron Fuller. After that pick, Browning was back to being his accurate self, but it was his legs that did much of the damage, as he converted on several sneaks and picked up a few huge first downs to keep the Bruins from pulling off the monumental upset. Browning and the Huskies are going to have to be much better next Saturday in Autzen against Oregon.

Oregon Ducks

On the latest big board for the 2019 draft courtesy of Draftwire's Luke Easterling, Oregon junior QB Justin Herbert was one of just two offensive players ranked in the top-10. A few big boards have a little more offensive flair up top, but by-and-large, Easterling's top-10 is a strong representation of the consensus on the very front-end of the class. That is to say, dominated by defensive prospects. Ed Oliver, Clelin Ferrell, Jonah Williams and Josh Allen make up the analyst's top-five. Beyond Williams, the stud offensive tackle at Alabama, the only other offensive player to make the top cut was Oregon QB Justin Herbert, who slots in at No. 9 for Mr. Easterling.

Betting Trends

Washington

The under is 5-1 in the Huskies’ last six games overall.

Oregon

The over is 5-2 in the Ducks’ last seven games overall.

Prediction

Washington’s offense is starting to fire on all cylinders, scoring 35 points against BYU and 31 last week at UCLA. While the Huskies’ defense is outstanding, we know that Oregon can light up a scoreboard, especially at home. The over is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams in Eugene and while it might come down to a late fourth quarter score, I expect the over to hit on Saturday night, too.

College Football Prediction: Washington/Oregon over 57.5
