According to the latest oddsmakers, Kansas State is the slim favorite at home, as the Wildcats are getting odds of -1.5 point against Baylor. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 48.5 points. The public betting currently has 67 percent going on Kansas State as the home favorite. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NCAAF Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

K-State takes first loss

Kansas State started the season 3-0, but the Wildcats suffered a 26-13 loss at Oklahoma State last weekend for their first loss. K-State is 3-1 overall, 0-1 in the Big 12, 3-1 against the spread and 2-2 with the over/under total.

The Wildcats are a solid defensive team as usual, allowing just 16 points and 323.5 yards per game. Offensively, Kansas State is putting up 36.3 points and 401.8 yards per contest. Quarterback Skylar Thompson has thrown for 604 yards and four touchdowns this year while also rushing for 91 yards and a pair of scores. James Gilbert is the leading rusher with 321 yards and four touchdowns while Dalton Schoen is the leading receiver with 10 catches for 150 yards and two touchdowns.

Bears unbeaten through four games

Baylor is off to a surprising 4-0 start to the year thanks to a 23-21 upset of Iowa State last weekend. The Bears are 1-0 in the Big 12, 2-2 against the spread and 2-2 with the over/under total.

Known in the past for offense, the Bears have actually been led by an impressive defense. Baylor is giving up just 16.3 points and 297.5 yards per game. Clay Johnson is leading the defense with 37 tackles and 2.5 sacks. Offensively, Baylor is averaging 40.8 points and 475.5 yards per contest. Quarterback Charlie Brewer is leading the team with 972 yards and 10 touchdowns while Denzel Mims is the leading receiver with 24 catches for 355 yards and five touchdowns. John Lovett is the team’s leading rusher with 238 yards and a score.

College Football Betting Trends

Kansas State

The Wildcats are 7-1 with the under in their last eight games on fieldturf and 5-1 with the under in their last six home games.

The Bears have hit the under in five straight conference games and in five of their last seven games on fieldturf.

These two have hit the under in four of their last six meetings overall and in three straight meetings in Manhattan. The Wildcats have a defense that is legit, as shown by holding Oklahoma State to just 26 points in Stillwater last week. At home, I expect a lockdown of Baylor. The Bears haven’t done much offensively against any teams of merit. Their defense seems to be legit as well and they get to face a pretty average K-State offense, so I would expect this to be more of a defensive battle with limited scores.

College Football Week 6 Prediction: Baylor/Kansas State Under 48.5
