Florida vs. Vanderbilt Prediction
After blowing a sizable lead last week in a loss to Tennessee, will Florida score enough today to cover against Vanderbilt at 12:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Gators are now 12-point road favorites versus the Commodores after opening as a 9.5-point favorite. As for the total, the number opened at 41 but has been bet down to 40.5.
The Gators are 12-2 against the spread in their last 14 games after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous contest and are 5-1 ATS in their last six games coming off a loss. They've also been a fantastic bet on the road, covering in nine of their last 11 contests away from Gainesville.
The Commodores have been a poor bet in certain situations, such has going 1-4 against the spread in their last five games following a successful cover and 0-4 ATS in their last four games following straight up win. They're also winless at 0-5 against the number in their last five home games versus an opponent with a winning road record.
OUR PREDICTION: The Gators have been an outstanding play in this series, covering in four straight games at Vanderbilt. The road team is also a perfect 8-0 against the spread in the last eight meetings between these teams. Despite not having regular starter Luke Del Rio for the Tennessee game, Florida still put up 300 yards of offense in the first half versus the Volunteers and while the entire team fell apart in the second half, the Gators should be motivated to play a full game.
