Stanford vs. Washington Prediction
Pac-12 rivals meet tonight when Stanford hosts Washington at 9:00PM ET. Will the Huskies cover as a small favorite?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Huskies are 3.5-point home favorites versus the Cardinal after opening as a 3-point favorite. As for the total, the number currently sits at 44.5 points after opening at 44.
STANFORD: The Cardinal is 4-0 against the spread in its last four road games and 5-0 ATS in its last five games on Friday. Stanford is also 38-16-1 against the spread in its last 55 conference games, is 52-24-1 against the number in its last 77 games overall, and is 40-19-1 at the betting window in its last 60 games following a straight up win.
WASHINGTON: The Huskies have covered in five of their last seven games and are 15-7 against the spread in their last 22 games coming off a failed cover in their previous game. They're also 16-5-1 at the betting window in their last 22 games after accumulating less than 170 yards passing in their previous game and are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game.
OUR PREDICTION: Stanford has won 15 of its past 16 games and has dominated this series, winning eight times in the past nine meetings. Heisman candidate Christian McCaffrey should have a field day against a Washington defense that allowed 308 rushing yards to Arizona last week in a narrow overtime victory. Quarterback Jake Browning has thrown 14 touchdown passes to just two interceptions this season but will face a Cardinal defense that ranks eighth nationally in scoring defense at 12 points per game.
