UCF scoring in droves
The Knights are continuing to put up big numbers this year, leaving where it left off last season. UCF is 3-0 on the year following a 56-36 win over Florida Atlantic last week. UCF is 2-1 against the spread and 2-1 with the over. The Knights have hit the over in six of their last eight games.
UCF has a dominant offense that is putting up 50 points and 587.7 yards per game this season. The Knights have a ground game that is approaching 300 yards per game. Five different players have over 100 rushing yards. Adrian Killins Jr. is leading the pack with 193 yards. McKenzie Milton has thrown for 895 yards and nine touchdowns while rushing for 147 yards and three scores. Defensively, the Knights are allowing 17.7 points and 396.7 yards per game, including just 157.7 passing yards per contest.
Panthers struggling
The Pitt Panthers are off to a 2-2 start, alternating wins and losses each week. They are coming off a 38-35 loss at North Carolina last week. Pitt is 1-3 against the spread and 2-2 with the over/under total. The Panthers have hit the under in four of their last six games overall.
Pitt’s defense is giving up 28.8 points per game on defense this year and allowing 396.3 yards per contest. On offense, Pitt is averaging 24.5 points and 361 yards per contest. Qadree Ollison is leading the offense with 355 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Kenny Pickett has thrown for 580 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 117 yards and two scores.
College Football Betting Trends
UCF
The Knights are 6-1 with the over in their last seven home games, but 4-1 with the under in their last five against ACC opponents.
Pittsburgh
Pitt is 6-1 with the under in its last seven road games and 6-0-1 with the under in its last seven games following a loss.
Prediction:
UCF has been pretty unstoppable on offense this season and now faces a Pitt team that has looked weak against dynamic offensive teams this year. The Panthers have given up 38 to UNC and 51 to Penn State. Going on the road to UCF won’t help in that regard. The Knight gave up some points to FAU last week but I am not sure Pitt has that same capability. The Panthers have been an average team for more than a year and I think this game will be lopsided, which will cause the under to hit due to a lack of scoring from Pittsburgh.
