MIAMI: The Hurricanes routed Florida A&M as a 52-point home favorite in their opener and then followed that up with a 38-10 win over Florida Atlantic as a 25-point home favorite last week. Quarterback Brad Kaaya had a rough day in the win, going 17-of-31 for 191 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions. Thankfully for Miami, running back Mark Walton rushed 17 times for 155 yards and four touchdowns, while backfield mate Joseph Yearby rushed 20 times for 121 yards and a score.
APPALACHIAN STATE: The Mountaineers nearly pulled off the upset in Week 1 before falling 20-13 to Tennessee as a 21.5-point road underdog. Last week the team bounced back with a 31-7 win over Old Dominion, covering as a 21-point favorite. In the win last week, Marcus Cox rushed 18 times for 133 yards and three touchdowns.
OUR PICK: The quarterbacks for both teams didn't play that well last week but both defenses appear to be in good early-season form. The under is 8-3 in the Hurricanes' last 11 road games and is 41-18 in their last 59 non-conference games. The under is also 7-1 in the Mountaineers' last eight non-conference games and is a perfect 7-0 in their last seven games in September.
